PRIVACY POLICY.

What we collect

We collect the information needed to run IRL: your name, email address, securely hashed password, profile and body metrics, goals, nutrition logs, workouts, progress, streaks, saved meals, and settings. If you separately opt in to accountability calls, we also process the phone number you provide and record when that consent was given.

When you choose an AI photo feature, we process the photo you submit and the result needed to provide that feature. A Future Vision image you pin may remain stored until you replace it, clear it, or delete your account.

Apple Health

With your permission, the iOS app reads steps and active calories from Apple Health. This Health data is displayed and processed on your device and is not uploaded to IRL's servers. You can change Health access at any time in iOS Settings or the Health app.

How we use information

We use your information to authenticate you, calculate targets, maintain your diary and training history, generate requested coaching or AI results, send service and reminder messages you enable, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and improve IRL. If you enable automatic accountability calls, IRL may call after the disclosed missed-workout grace period; you can disable these calls instantly in Settings. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

Services that help operate IRL

IRL relies on service providers to operate: Render for the app API and storage, Railway for the website, Resend for account email, Google Gemini for requested AI features, ElevenLabs for enabled accountability calls, and food-data sources such as USDA and Open Food Facts. Those providers process only the information needed to perform their service and operate under their own privacy terms.

Community food contributions

Premium members may submit missing barcode and nutrition information. Approved contributions can become visible to other IRL users. Do not include personal information in food names or nutrition fields. Contributions linked to your account are removed when your account is deleted.

Retention, security, and deletion

We retain account information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary for security, legal obligations, and reliable operation. We use access controls, encryption in transit, and password hashing, but no online service can promise absolute security.

You can permanently delete your account in Progress → Settings → Delete account. Deletion removes your account and associated logs, profile, progress, AI Vision files, reset codes, and contributed foods from IRL's active systems. Deleting IRL does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription; subscriptions are managed separately in your Apple ID settings.

Your choices and rights

You may review and edit much of your information inside the app, disable notifications or Health access in iOS, and request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply.

Children and international processing

IRL is not directed to children under 13. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, use IRL only with a parent or guardian's permission. Information may be processed in Canada, the United States, and other locations where our providers operate.
